Surprise Santa Visits
We make memories for those children and families who need it most and for whom this experience will stay with them forever.
The aim of the project is simple: we take the big man, his wonderful grotto and all his presents to families who cannot access a traditional grotto or who have experienced trauma, family breakdown, bereavement, illness, and mental ill health.
Bringing Christmas magic to local families
Escape Arts have been delivering the impactful Grotto-on-the-Go Project every December since 2016, where we transform our multimedia van into a magical grotto on wheels that visits children across South Warwickshire, with presents for all the family.
We have found that year on year, demand for this project increases as local families continue to be affected by the socio-economic climate. Whether that is due to a global pandemic or the dramatic increase to our cost of living, more families are in need of our support than ever before.
Making a real difference
Last year, our project supported 70 local families, including 194 children in need.
We couldn’t do this ambitious project alone and we are incredibly grateful for the support we receive from Municipal Charities, Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank, Tesco, Morrisons & Eco-Workshop, whose support ensures that this project makes a real difference for the families we support.
The Grotto-on-the-Go also makes a special visit to the patients, staff and volunteers at Warwick Hospital, with Santa, Mother Christmas, Chief Elf, and Angel Carol Singers spreading Christmas cheer by visiting as many wards as possible!
Nominations for the Grotto-on-the-Go Project will open in October 2024 and the visits will take place throughout December. If you want to find out more about this impactful project, get in touch.
