Grotto on the Go

We will NOT let Coronavirus ruin our Surprise Santa deliveries. Escape Arts are looking for families who would benefit from a FREE Santa Surprise experience. Due to Coronavirus restrictions our Grotto on the Go has had to remain at Lapland and Rudolph is self-isolating. However, don’t worry, Santa will be doing personal video calls and doorstep present deliveries with his elves.

We want to help make lasting happy memories after what for so many has been such a difficult year.  If you know a family who needs a special treat this year please contact our Elf headquarters at info@escapearts.org.uk or (01789)532110 (answer machine in operation, please leave us a message). Although we will do our best we are unable to promise to surprise all nominees.  Visits will take place over December. Nominations open Saturday 24th October and close Saturday 14th November.

Toy Drive

To support our Surprise Santa Visits, we also organise a Toy Drive, with contact free collection points in the form of big boxes at the Escape Arts & Heritage Centre and Tesco at the Maybird in Stratford. Due to Covid-19, we can only accept brand new items or nearly new items with labels. For any enquiries about the Toy Drive, please contact info@escapearts.org.uk

If you’re interested in volunteering with this project to support Santa as a trusted Elf driver, contact: niamholdham@escapearts.org.uk

Warwick Hospital

As part of our Grotto on the Go, Santa visits Warwick Hospital with his merry troop of Elves.  Santa visits lots of wards throughout the day, including A&E, the children’s ward, maternity where babies can have their first selfies with Santa.  We also visit the frailty wards, bringing gifts and mince pies.

New to 2020 – Join of Claus Christmas Choir.  Escape will be running a Christmas Community Choir, starting in October.  The choir will accompany Santa and the Claus family on visits to Warwick Hospital and other healthcare settings.  You will need to ‘Elf Up’ for this. If you want to get involved please contact niamholdham@escapearts.org.uk

If you want to nominate a family for a special visit please download the application form here.  We are always interested to hear of organisations for whom a Santa visit and his choir would make a real difference, so please get in touch.

Surprise Santa Film

In November 2019, Escape Arts worked with a group of students from Leamington College to document us getting ready for the Surprise Santa visits. They captured one very special day where we decorated the bus and began to sort through and wrap the boxes and boxes of presents generously donated by members of the public. We were very fortunate to work with the students on this project who produced this fantastic film and we are delighted with the results. Enjoy and immerse yourself in the magic of Christmas!
