At Social Brew, our friendly 30-minute 1-2-1 sessions help you take your first steps into your family history in a relaxed, welcoming space. With support from our facilitator and the team, you’ll learn where to begin, what questions to ask and how to use free resources to explore your ancestral roots.

These sessions spark conversation, storytelling and community connection through a heritage lens: a perfect way to head into 2026 with fresh discoveries.

Routes to Stratford brings the community together to explore the heritage shaping modern Stratford-upon-Avon. Participants research their ancestry, uncover family stories, and trace the towns, regions, and countries their relatives once called home. These origins are mapped globally, highlighting the journeys that led families to settle in Stratford. The project celebrates connection, diversity, and the shared stories of our community.

Social Brew is open every Saturday from 1.30–4.30pm. You’re welcome to explore the centre, enjoy the exhibitions or grab a drink from our café before or after your session. This activity is running every Saturday from 17th January to February 7th.
