New Stars of the Community Project
A community art celebration at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon

16 fabric panels are being co-created with local groups and Artist Anne-Marie Cadman to transform The Holy Trinity’s pillars into striking works of art. Each panel will explore themes such as nature, youth, heritage, diversity, the arts and community heroes. The installation launches for Orchestra of the Swan’s Winter Concert (29th November) and will remain on display throughout Advent. The panels will celebrate the people, places, and stories that make Stratford extraordinary.
Alongside this, we are asking people to make their own 2D paper stars to celebrate an unsung hero who makes a difference in their life – this might be a friend, carer, volunteer, family member or group. Stars are simple to create using our template and instructions, which you can download the space. Your finished star may be displayed as part of Escape Arts’ Rise Up community project this winter.
You can download our STARS Of The Community Crafty Guide here!
The link will take you to a google document that you can download.
We would love it if you could share a story with your star about why the person makes a difference to your life. You can share this with us here!
When your star is ready, you can drop your star(s) off at Escape Arts & Heritage Centre (off Sheep Street) CV37 6EE to become part of the Rise Up installation. All stars must be received by noon Thursday 20th November 2025. Please note that we cannot return stars and by delivering it, you consent to us using the star and any dedication you have provided.
