New Stars of the Community Project

A community art celebration at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon

Escape Arts are working with Orchestra of the Swan and Holy Trinity Church to create an art installation of community stars at Holy Trinity Church for Orchestra of the Swan’s Wintertide concert on Saturday 29th November. The stars will be installed on Holy Trinity’s 16 pillars, and we want the installation to represent all of the ‘pillars’ in our local community. We are inviting schools, community groups, businesses, and individuals to contribute to this installation by making your own 2D paper stars to celebrate an unsung hero who makes a difference in your life: this might be a friend, carer, volunteer, family member or community group. Stars are simple to create using our template and instructions, which you can download below. Your finished star may be displayed as part of Escape Arts’ Rise Up community project this winter.

You can download our STARS Of The Community Crafty Guide here!

The link will take you to a google document that you can download.

We would love it if you could share a story with your star about why the person makes a difference to your life. You can share this with us here!

When your star is ready, you can drop your star(s) off at Escape Arts & Heritage Centre (off Sheep Street) CV37 6EE to become part of the Rise Up installation. All stars must be received by noon Thursday 20th November 2025. Please note that we cannot return stars and by delivering it, you consent to us using the star and any dedication you have provided.
