Artwork & Public Art

Public Art

Escape works with professional artists to develop public art in locations across Warwickshire including:

  • Exterior wall vinyl depicting The Lost Garden of Avon by Alisha Miller
  • Outdoor willow seating pod created by Spencer Jenkins
  • Large copper  Henson’s Steer created by Rachel Higgins
  • Artist illustration of the Tudor pub The Crown by Phil Williams.
  • Outdoor installations at George Eliot hospital and Chilvers Coten Heritage Centre.

Our recent work involves a large scale public art engagement project ‘Cradle to Grave’ at Warwick Hospital, transforming spaces across clinical settings. Escape can also be commissioned to create individual pieces for businesses and venues, this can either involve creative team building or direct response to a commissioning brief.

Corporate Commissions

Escape are not afraid of a challenge and have been asked to create a giant birthday cake installation on three separate occasions to celebrate Shakespeare Birthday Weekend Celebrations.  This involves a whole range of community engagement workshops in order to develop a final large scale public art installation.

Escape take on the planning, consultation, community engagement to create these large scale installations.  We can also create key pieces of artwork to support corporate publications.  In 2019 Escape were commissioned to provide 7 pieces of artwork by Chiltern Railways for their new London to Stratford timetables. Alan Riley, Customer Services Director at Chiltern Railways said, “We’re delighted that Escape Arts agreed to commission artwork for our new timetables. The work they produced looks fantastic and we’re pleased to support the creativity of talented young people and adults in the communities across our network.” Stratford Heralds Press Coverage
