Volunteering with Escape

Volunteering with Escape

We are deeply committed to providing meaningful volunteering opportunities to people across Warwickshire. We support a range of volunteer placements, from baking cakes for our café to supporting our participants during our community art projects. There really is something for everyone!

In June 2018, Escape Arts were awarded the Queens Award, the MBE for voluntary organisations. It was a real honour to receive this recognition and an absolute credit to our wonderful volunteer team. Escape Arts volunteers have also been the recipients of three local awards; Creative Arts Group Award at the Nuneaton WCAVA Volunteer Awards in 2017 & 2018 and Creative Heritage Group Award at the WCAVA South Warwickshire Volunteer Awards in 2019.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to get involved with your local community. We provide exciting opportunities for you to:

  • Meet new people and make friends.
  • To help make our community more vibrant, diverse and welcoming.
  • Share experience and develop new and existing skills.
  • Gain practical work experience and enhance your CV.
  • Have fun!
  • Join in Escape celebration events, with invitations to exhibitions pre-views, community events and festivals.

Why Volunteering is Good for YOUR Wellbeing!

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2020, our Deputy CEO Niamh Oldham gives you her top 5 reasons why volunteering is good for your wellbeing, including the feel good feeling, learning new skills and meeting new people!

There are definitely more than 5 reasons, and if you’d like to volunteer for Escape, Niamh can tell you them all! Get in touch via email for an informal chat, volunteer@escapearts.org.uk
