Escape Music & Radio

Escape Arts Radio

Escape Arts has been supported by Big lottery, Children In Need, Stratford District Council and WCVYS to develop an exciting youth led radio station. Escape Arts Radio gives young people the tools and skills to express their ideas and share their stories - and gives them an insight into a world of wider opportunities.  We provide the necessary technical training, expertise and support across a 6 week programme that will enable the group to create a final live broadcast. The youth-produced radio broadcasts will contain a compelling and entertaining mix of well-produced content that reflects the concerns and experiences of young people. The group will also be encouraged to work with their local community to showcase social history.

 Aspire recordings

Aspire enables young people to make their own music, including tester sessions and music development workshops in song-writing, composition and performance with accomplished musicians in the field.

The project provides the tools and contacts to enable young people to research the local music industry to launch, promote and celebrate youth music in the local area.

Linked into this are professional recording opportunities and open mic nights at Stratford Picture House.

Wake up the Moon for Children In Need!

Escape Arts have been working with local musician Simon Kemp, Sound Engineer Paul Johnston at Rhythm Studios and Film-Maker Chris Bradley on a music video and recording project featuring ‘Aspire’ musicians and vocalists. Over the summer Aspire musicians have written and produced their single to raise money for Children In Need. Escape has been supported by Children In Need over 3 years to develop music and arts opportunities for young people, this is their way of saying thank you.  Please help them by downloading 'Wake Up The Moon' from iTunes or the Google Play Store  for only 99p.  All proceeds go the Children in Need.
