Nuneaton Men in Sheds is a volunteer led project that meets every Tuesday and Thursday between 10am and 1pm. The group supports retired men to meet, share their skills and work together on a range of projects. They are based at the George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton, in a ‘shed’ they built themselves during the Beast from the East in 2018!
And if that wasn’t impressive enough, the group make fantastic items out of wood and other materials and work collaboratively with other community groups by creating items for them, such as the pergola for George Eliot at Chilvers Coton Heritage Centre. Donations and the sales of the items the group keep the group running.
The volunteer led group invite a donation of £3 per session to help with material costs and overhead expenses. The men are always looking for new members to share their skills and connect with so if you’re interested in finding out more about this group, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. New skills and friendly faces await!
