Professional Artist Led Evening & Day Workshops

We run evening classes from our home at the Old Slaughterhouse Heritage and Arts Centre. Workshop costs include materials and refreshments. Current Classes

Lino Printing Evening Workshop with Ros Ingram, Wednesday 3rd April, 6:30-9:00pm, £35

A great opportunity to learn a skill from a professional artist. Ros Ingram is an internationally renowned artist who specialises in ceramics, glass and print making. During the evening workshop we will be guided through the process of cutting and printing, with the opportunity to create several prints from the finished 'plate'

It is advisable to book early onto this workshop as Ros' workshops are always in high demand.

All materials and refreshments are included in the ticket price.

All Day Needlefelting Workshop with Steph Lester - Sunday 14th April 2019, 10:30am-4:30pm, £60

Learn how to make a basic armature and sculpt your squirrel around it. You will have the freedom to follow your own inspiration or follow the detailed instructions. The amount of details you want to include will be up to you with glass or needle felted eyes, detailed toes and fur like tail.

We will have a blending board, carding machine, and combs available for you to find out about and experiment with for those that have got to that point in their felting development.

We welcome all skill levels.

Stephanie Lester will be our Fibre Artist instructor and you can see her work on Facebook and Instagram under the business name Tootique Boutique.

Fused Glass Evening Workshop with Ros Ingram, Wednesday 26th June, 6:30-8:30pm, £35

Make a clear glass picture panel using coloured glass and copper inclusions.and relief techniques during this highly popular workshop. Early booking is very much recommended as participant numbers are deliberately kept low to enhance the experience with our professional artist.

Ros will be guiding us through the cutting and finishing techniques to achieve a professional outcome. All materials and refreshments are included in the ticket price.

All Day Enamelling Workshop with Melissa Keskinkilinc - Sunday 30th June 2019, 10:30am-3:30pm, £60

An opportunity to spend the day under the professional guidance of Melissa Kleskinkilinc, a locally born enamel artist. This time our workshop will be spread over a whole day with a break in the day for lunch. There are several eateries to suit all budgets on our doorstep for visitors to try.

All materials, firing and tea/ coffee during the day are included in the ticket price. Workshop numbers are kept deliberately low on our Daytime and Evening Courses to allow a better tuition experience.
